Monthly Round-Up: February 2012

Even though our winter here in Northern California has felt more like spring, soups make their appearance each week on the menu.  Soups are the perfect meal – healthy, filling and easy!  As I’m typing this post I see the wind picking up and clouds moving in.  We are in for a storm tomorrow, which is a welcomed change.  We’ve had just a few days of rain this winter and very little snowfall in Tahoe (our nearest snow playground).  So I thought it fitting to do a round-up of soups before we officially move into springand for my friends out there feeling the winter chill in much colder parts of the county and world.  It will soon be searing hot here in my neck of the woods and soup will be far from my mind.  So slurp up and enjoy these comforting soups here in the final weeks of winter.  Salud.
