Allergy Free Wednesdays Week 81: August 21, 2013

Hello and welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW).
AFW is a weekly blog hop where folks can share their allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies.

This is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself and six other fabulous allergy-free bloggers.  Your weekly submissions will be shared on all 7 blogs!  Check back each week for reader favorites and recipe highlights.

What can I link-up on AFW?
  • We welcome allergy-free cuisine in any shape or form
  • Tips & allergy related articles/information are welcome
  • Food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities all welcome
  • Rules & Guidelines *Please provide a link directly to your post (not your homepage).
  • Please provide a link back to our weekly blog hop somewhere in your post.
  • Please provide a description of your recipe, such as DF (dairy free), GF (gluten free), SF (sugar free), V (vegan), etc.
  • Recipes do not have to be free of all common allergens, just allergy-free in some way.
  • TWO weekly submissions max please.
  • Grab yourself a badge and help support Allergy-Free Wednesdays and the allergy-free community.
  • Entries that don’t comply with stated rules and guidelines will be respectfully removed.
Please leave a comment after you link-up and tell us about your weekly submission(s). We love to hear from you!
By linking up, you agree that I may make use of any applicable pictures in my Allergy-Free Wednesday posts, and that, by your entering, you are giving permission to use them and/or re-pin them via Pinterest. You also, by entering, guarantee that the picture is not someone else’s work , or else has a broad license (for example with stock photography put in public domain).

  2. Thanks for hosting Amber! I love the look of your macadamia nut milk. I've been enjoying trying various nuts and seeds as milks, so I'll have to give yours a try!

I'm sharing an ice cream recipe tonight. :-) Have a great week!

  4. Hi! :) The link to the rules above did not seem to work. I'm new here--can I share something that's gluten free, but does have dairy in it? Or should I share something free of both? Thanks!

    • Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. A few weeks ago I deleted that page and forgot there was still a link there. I've added the rules and guidelines for ya! Thanks for joining us. And it's fine if your recipe has dairy. Gluten free is great...thank you for sharing that.

      Be Well,
      --Amber

I'm not surprised that Laura's amazing looking bagels were the favorite! Those are a must make for sure. Those other favorites look great, but those fudge bars have definitely caught my eye! :-)

This week I've linked up my How to Clean Your Blender in Less Than 2 Minutes from gfe and the Chocolate Pudding Dessert Recipes roundup from All Gluten-Free Desserts. I was so happy to have one of your recipes in the latter. ;-)

Thanks for hosting, Amber! Have a good week! xoxo,
    Shirley

Oh those bagels look so incredible. That's one thing that NYC doesn't have is a good gf bagel. I've searched!

I'm linking up my Chocolate Banana Chia Pudding this week. Thanks for being such a wonderful hostess!!

  9. Thanks for hosting again! This week I’m sharing the inspiring story of Russ Crandall, who has a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and thickening of his arteries. He had a stroke at age 24 and open heart surgery at age 26, but his health didn’t start to improve until he switched to the Paleo Diet. I continue to be amazed at the power of food.

    Hi Amber --
Your blog is lovely, and the recipes in the blog hop look deliciously intriguing :-) This is my first time linking a recipe here, and I've shared Mini-Meat Loaf with Mushroom Sauce, which is gluten-free and can also be nut-free or grain-free.
    Thanks so much for hosting!
