This is a lovely post!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few Buddleia shrubs in the garden and those attract loads of butterflies!
Thank you Vicky! My kids just LOVE finding butterflies. They are like little treasures in the garden. :-)
DeleteI plant almost all my flowers to attract bees and butterflies. Careful w/ butterfly bush, some of them are invasive (they're required to sell them sterile in Oregon now). Here are are some more from my garden my little friends go nuts over:
ReplyDeleteWalkers low cat-mint (xeriscape too!)
lavender (xeriscape)
upright fuschia (part shade)
lungwort (full shade, early spring)
heather
bleeding heart (shade)
russian sage (xeriscape)
I am sure I am forgetting some, but there is a few for people to checkout!
Thanks Tessa. So many varieties to choose from...that's for sure!
DeleteAgastache is one of my favs!
ReplyDeleteYes, so gorgeous! Fun for hummingbirds too I've found. :-)
