Hello and welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW).
AFW is a weekly blog hop where folks can share their allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies.

This is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself and six other fabulous allergy-free bloggers.  Your weekly submissions will be shared on all 7 blogs!  Check back each week for reader favorites and recipe highlights.

Thanks so much for highlighting my Girl Scout Cookie Knockoff Recipe roundup! I am really honored that all those bloggers let me share their amazing recipes and that you and others on AFW featured my roundup post! :-) I loved that the post showed how many ways one can get their Girl Scout Cookie "fix" and still stay within one's dietary needs. ;-)

This week I linked up a soup I made from leftover Bloody Mary mix, Bloody Mary-Sweet Potato-Cabbage "Noodle"-Bean-and-Veggie Soup. This soup was incredibly good, so I can't wait to re-create it using real food ingredients instead of Bloody Mary mix (something I don't normally buy). :-)

Have a great week, Amber! Thanks for hosting! xo,
    Shirley

    • Hi Shirley,

I've never actually made any "knock off" cookies GS cookies before, but this post just totally inspired me. It's unfortunate how unhealthy those GS cookies are! They can certainly be made healthier - sort of a sad way for that organization to make money. My younger sister was in girl scouts and I remember the loads of cookies we used to have in the house. I always loved the coconut ones...and thin mints of course. I like the idea of making them at home with better ingredients. And I LOVE that soup you shared too, Shirley.

You also have a great week, Shirley and thank for always sharing with us and being an active part of our AFW community.
