Allergy-Free Wednesdays Week 62: April 10, 2013

Hello and welcome to Allergy-Free Wednesdays (AFW).
AFW is a weekly blog hop where folks can share their allergy-free cuisine, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and connect with others living or caring for someone with food allergies.

This is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself and six other fabulous allergy-free bloggers.  Your weekly submissions will be shared on all 7 blogs!  Check back each week for reader favorites and recipe highlights.

Before linking up - PLEASE click HERE to review rules, guidelines, and legal information.  Thank you!

I've linked up my two latest recipes, Amber ... Sweet Potato Chocolate Chip Mug Pudding and Oatmeal Raisin/Chocolate Chip Cookies. Both are yummy. The mug pudding is healthy and quick to make. The Oatmeal Cookies are "His 'n Her" Cookies. ;-)

Hope you had a great spring break!

    • Thanks, Heather. We had a nice trip, but it's always nice to come home, right. Nothing like sleeping in your own comfy bed. Love your banana bread protein bites. I am going to attempt to make these here in the next couple of weeks. I try to make 2 homemade snacks every weekend for the kids to have on-hand,and I know these will be quite popular. xo

You know, I have never successfully made homemade mayo, so I will definitely be checking out that 30-second recipe. Thanks for hosting again. This week, I wrote about the healing power of an internet break. Just one day offline can be powerfully renewing to the body and spirit.

    • Thanks, Eileen. I read your post about taking some time off from phone/internet/TV, etc. Really enjoyed it, very inspiring. I will be featuring this week on AFW...I hope it will inspire/encourage others to just unplug for a while.

How do you know if your olive oil is pure? Are you sure it hasn't been watered down with a cheaper vegetable oil? There's only one way to tell (and the label has nothing to do with it). I shared a simple two-step process for determining the purity of your olive oil. I also shared a how-to guide for buying, storing and cooking with olive oil... get that oil off the counter and away from the stove!
